1st Term (September - December)

Spring Season

Our desire with everything that we have chosen for our students is to reflect the goals and purpose of our program. From the Bible teachers we have selected to the weekend ministry opportunities provided, we strive to complete our three main objectives for our students. While in their first term of BBP, students can expect to start a daily routine of Spanish and Bible classes. This first term is designed to help our students DEVELOP all they need to begin their time here. Language comprehension is crucial as they adjust to their daily life in the Argentine culture. They will live, eat, work, and do ministry alongside the South American students. Their language ability will be the top priority as they begin forming friendships and making connections, even into the second semester, where they can utilize it in service.

Topical bible classes in their first semester are meant to teach them the Bible basics and go from there. As an international program, we know that our students come from all walks of life, cultural backgrounds, and places in their walks with the Lord. Our classes, paired with weekly chapels, seek to meet the students where they are and encourage them to take the next step with the Lord.

One - On - One Discipleship

Around this time, we, as the staff, endeavor to connect with the students individually. After the orientation week, students are paired with the various staff members as they begin discipleship. Working alongside the students to ensure their success in the program goes beyond the classroom. For our staff, it's their daily and weekly involvement in their personal lives. In this way, we seek to actively use the Lord to guide the students through internal and external circumstances that the Lord will use in this time to grow them.

Hotel pichi traful

Word of Life owns a hotel called Hotel Pichi Traful in the mountains, twenty-four hours away. We like to think of this time as a retreat for the students. During this week, we can have quality time with our students through outdoor activities, touristic outings, and a time of testimony sharing. For some of our students, this is the first time they share their stories, and we get to hear just how far God has brought them, even just in the past few months. The camp-like atmosphere has a unique way of bringing the students closer together as a class. It provides the perfect atmosphere for us to challenge our students as they return home for the first time in four months.
